I have been on a home-area vacation.   A “stay-cation”.  On Thursday we went to see Motown great Smokey Robinson…he was great but some women in the crowd thought he was there only for them and screamed and jumped around drunk…they needed to stay home.  Friday, we went to see the movie “The Butler”.  It is a must see.  Saturday, I worked on a translation but it felt so good to relax and work.  Today, Sunday it is the Romeo Peach Festival and perhaps tomorrow Arts, Beats and Eats.   A real “Labor Day” holiday in this household.

I have had an opportunity to think about how one’s belief in oneself has such a significant effect on one’s attitude and success. What does this translate into…greeting each day with joy! Joy for having my health, people who love me and believe in me, and the knowledge that as long as I am willing and able to work, my business will grow.
Each day is a challenge, there is no denial, but life is too short, so I wake up with a strong belief system, push forward and work on building a team that share my values and willingness to work toward a common goal. I was recently asked if I have a business plan; the answer is yes but so much has changed since I wrote it that it no longer represents where I want to be with my business. It has to be a living document (sort of like the constitution) which means life has to be breathed into it and reviewed and given a chance to grow. That is my next step, work on my business plan to show my beliefs and a plan to accelerate the growth of INTER-LINGUA.

This has been a great week supporting friends’ businesses.  Had carry-out from the now defunct “Maria’s Comida”.  Yes they are still catering and have gone full force with their amazing salsa which are now available at Kroger, Whole Foods, Westborn, etc.  Then while out cruising Telegraph with my husband we went to dinner at Bangkok96, my friend Caroline Polly runs their Thai Feast frozen food line.  Great food.

Importance of blogging

Men and women in different businesses meet for one primary objective:  to deepen their understanding of blogging.  Was it a success?  Well I am doing it and it is not painful at all.
